As a student, i did not use Microsoft word until 9th grade my freshman year of high school. There we used google docs instead of Microsoft word. I actually enjoy using google docs more than Microsoft word. Typically, I am not doing anything extravagant, just writing a paper or taking some notes in class. Microsoft word is often complicated for no reason. I see the small number of features in google docs as a plus and not a downside.  I think ISTE standards are very important so that the use of technology can be used for education worldwide. ISTE is important for K-12 as not everyone might have the resources to learn technology at home. Going into the workforce knowing how certain programs like Microsoft office, word, excel, and outlook are very important to employers. I think collaborator standards are my favorite. My name is john doe, and I am 21 years old. I grew up in Texas for 4 years due to my dad being in the military. I then moved to the Florida panhandle, where I have lived ever since. This semester I transferred to FSU from PSC after getting my AA.   Prior to coming to FSU I used canvas as a means to see assignments and grades. In high school, I utilized google classrooms to communicate with teachers and for seeing assignments . I also used Quizlet as a way to study for different classes and complete assignments. I have also used Kahoot as a learning tool in prior classes.   For PLNs, I use LinkedIn to communicate with other team members and work centers. Linkedin is also great for seeing what other teams are doing and how they motivate their team. I also use Yammer to share problems and solutions that have been found at work and to share with other teams who might be having the same problem.
