 In the Florida Computer Science Standards, I feel very comfortable with K-2 Microsoft Word applications. Within that, I feel like I could teach the data analysis portion of the standards. This includes being able to identify and input texts, charts, graphs, and visual media. I also feel comfortable manipulating and sorting data; this includes averaging, sorting, and totaling numbers. In my own words, this is just imputing simple data into Microsoft word. I feel very comfortable teaching this. 


CPALMS can be a great wealth of information, especially for newer teachers or teachers looking for something new in the classroom. In the 1st grade, there are multiple common core standards within 12 subjects. For each subject, there are a wealth of options for lesson plans. These premade lesson plans are very nice as it takes some of the responsibility off the teacher. Teachers have a lot on their plates, so the lessons plans and road maps are very useful. 


Being able to internet search is very important as it is essential for all walks of life regardless of teaching or not. The ability to search within a website is useful as lots of times websites contain lots of information and being able to keypoint what you're looking for saves time. Being able to not include certain words in your search are useful when looking for something that has multiple names. Overall knowing how to correctly operate the internet is especially useful, and I will be using all of the search skills moving forward.

 Copyright is when you create something and want to protect it. Normally copyright is very important to large companies. If Nickelodeon didn't copyright Dora the Explorer, anybody could use her face on backpacks, lunch boxes, and anything else. This would cause Nick to lose millions in merchandise revenue. In the classroom, I would have my kids just not use copyrighted works and use fair works material instead. Now I will cover academic dishonesty and student privacy. For academic dishonesty, I would suggest an honor lock for all tests to make it harder for students to cheat. Also, on canvas, you can see when students leave a quiz and select something else. We could also introduce harsher penalties for students who decide to engage in academic dishonesty. For student privacy students can use a fake name when online to conceal their identity. Students can also use a Virtual Private Network to conceal their information from anyone that could be trying to get information from them....

 My early experiences with Twitter started in middle school. We used it to post about our day and funny stuff. Now I don't ever use Twitter as I don't really use social media and now a lot of people post on Twitter. Going forward, I wouldn't use Twitter in my future career as i don't see a way it would be beneficial.  In some schools where technology is used a lot it can affect students who don't have access to a lot of digital material online. In a project where research is required, students with access to the internet can easily do research from home. On the downside, students with little access to technology will have to use books or go to a library in their extra time to get the assignment done. You can change teaching strategies to either include class time to be able to use computers to complete assignments or not include as many assignments that require the internet.  Using canvas for assignment 2 was relatively easy and simple to understand. Assistive technology is very important to maintain a good classroom. Students with disabilities can feel alienated if a classroom does not include Assistive technology to enhance class time. Every school should have a collection of low technologies like pencil holders for students. I also think using image descriptions is very important to help students with low vision.   Diigo was relatively easy to use and understand. I can see how these can be useful for students with disabilities. I think it is cool that you can highlight text and it goes straight to the webpage. Although i find the icons that pop up when you highlight something annoying if your not using it for Diigo.
